For those joining in with the ‘Weekend in Stockholm’ blanket making, how are you going? Mine has been sitting in its basket for the last couple of weeks, but since March (and autumn) have arrived, I thought I should stay on track with my blanket plan and start crocheting the second band of colour around my 100 squares. Looking back at the plan, I’ve allowed myself March, April & May to do this, but I’m hoping to keep my head down and actually get this stage of the blanket finished by the end of March.
We’ll see. Fingers crossed.
Oh, and a friend gave me that basket in the photos above for Christmas, filled with nice beauty care products and I thought it would be perfect to use for my blanket. It seems to fit the squares just right at the moment! Plus, I can keep the basket on our bedside table while I’m not working on the project.
I’m really enjoying the progression of the squares like this too, doing all the base colours first and now adding the second row of colour. I think I’d definitely do another blanket this way, as it seems less daunting than doing big square after square. Plus, it’s easy to remember just the round that I’m working on, without having to refer to the pattern a million times.
Okay, back to it for me! I’ll be sure to share a photo or two on here, once I have all of the second round complete.
