I’m certainly knee deep in knitting projects lately, but decided to put my hand up to try a ‘test knit’ pattern on Ravelry towards the end of May. The pattern was a new design by Teresa Morey, a modern cowl that I really enjoyed having on my needles.I cast on with some Cascade 220 Aran that was leftover from my Ramona cardigan and had the project finished pretty quickly, which is always a nice feeling. I really like this yarn for cowls, as it’s soft and squishy – I think it would be fabulous for beanies too! Apart from the lovely lace design, what really appealed to me about this cowl, was the button closure. I chose some chunky wooden ones, which isn’t really a surprise, as I seem to use wooden buttons for all of my projects.
